Chassis reinforcement for critical loads
In compliance with the Detailforskrifter for Køretøjer (Danish Vehicle Regulations), we are committed to calculating reinforcements for vehicles based on the most demanding load scenarios.
As a result, we determine the necessary chassis reinforcement for crane vehicles with front-mounted cranes, rear stabilizer beams, and front stabilizer legs, considering specific scenarios where the crane’s own stabilizer legs lose footing. In such cases, support is limited to the vehicle’s rear stabilizer beam and front stabilizer leg. We define this level of reinforcement as fully reinforced.

Calculations
Trucks and specialized vehicles require precise and documented calculations to meet stability, safety, and functionality standards. We ensure that your custom construction adheres to applicable standards, including the Danish Transport Authority’s Detailed Regulations for Vehicles and the Danish Working Environment Authority’s guidelines.
Chassis calculations
We perform stress and bending calculations that document the current stress levels in the chassis frame and any reinforcements. These calculations comply with the requirements of the “Vehicle Construction Regulations” and can be presented during inspections at vehicle inspection centers.
For selected truck manufacturers, our calculation methods and material choices allow us to work with permissible stress levels that exceed the standard limits set by the “Vehicle Construction Regulations.”
Load center calculations
Our calculation program determines the actual axle loads and the payload location on the vehicle.
A detailed center-of-gravity calculation includes all components involved in the chassis reinforcement and various equipment such as stools, towbars, toolboxes, and tanks.
Stability calculations
We calculate stability factors in compliance with the Danish Working Environment Authority’s requirements for crane operations. Our program specifies the current stability factor right beyond the support legs and the crane boom perpendicular to the tilting line and in variable positions between each set of support legs. It can perform stability calculations with up to eight support legs on the vehicle and calculates stability all around, both with and without ballast.
Center of gravity calculations
Our calculation program determines the weight and location of components used to reinforce the chassis frame and other attached equipment. It includes the current profile dimensions and plate fields for chassis reinforcement, as well as the weight and location of tanks, toolboxes, towing hitches, stools, etc. The calculation clearly shows the weights of the crane, fly jib, winch, and other equipment.
